Lenoir, NC- Mr. Gary Edwin Robinson, age 69, of Lenoir, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 in Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born April 30, 1940 in Duquesne, PA, Mr. Robinson was the son of the late Anthony Colella and Virgie Nieri. Mr. Robinson attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a retired industrial safety engineer with California OSHA. He was retired from the naval reserves as a chief petty officer and was a decorated U.S. Navy veteran where he served in the submarine service during Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He loved gardening, playing cards and was a member of the Moose Lodge in California. He is survived by his wife, Jean Haghani of the home; three children, Christina Crowe and husband Jason of Gainesville, FL; Jason Robinson and wife Diana of Chandler, AZ; Edward Haghani of Lenoir; 5 grandchildren, Brandon Crowe, Kirsten Crowe, Sebastian Robinson, Mariam Haghani and Julien Haghani and numerous other relatives. A celebration of Mr. Robinson?s life will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 5, 2010 in the chapel of Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir. Burial will at a later date in the Forest Lawn Cemetery at Covina Hills in San Dimas, CA. The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Service & Crematory on Monday from 10 until 11 AM.
