Hudson, NC ?   Mrs. Georgia Nelson Laws, age 76, of Hudson, died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at her residence. She was born August 1, 1933 in Caldwell County, to the late Rustus Nelson and Amanda Atwood Nelson and the wife of the late Willard G. Laws. Mrs. Nelson was a homemaker and she loved to read, watch her favorite soap operas on television while never complaining to others. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Laws and one sister-in-law, Agnes Bryant. She is survived by four children, Donna Dye of Fredricksburg, VA; Roger Laws of Valmead; Michael Laws of Albemarle; Mara and John Mays of Lenoir; she is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and other relatives. A graveside memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Steve Butler officiating.
