Harold Corpening

Mr. Harold Edward Corpening age 73 passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Solace Center in Asheville, NC.

He was born on March 5,1953 in Caldwell County to the late Clyde Henry Corpening and Irene Horton Corpening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Marie Corpening Powell and a brother Christopher Jerome Corpening.

Harold grew up in the Harpertown Community of Lenoir. He was a member of Harper’s United Methodist Church, presently New Covenant United Methodist Church. Harold attended Gamewell High School.

He leaves to mourn his death a sister, Joanne Corpening Williams, three brothers; Clyde Douglas Corpening of California; Larry Thomas and Jerry Lee Corpening both of Lenoir, NC.

A memorial service will be held later.
