Harold D. Polk

Hickory, NC- Mr. Harold Dean Polk, Sr. Known by family and friends as ?Wildman?, age 69, of Hickory, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley at 2:47PM. Mr. Polk was born December 23, 1940 in Burke County. Mr. Polk was the son of the late Charles Suvesta and Oma Page Polk. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters Elelyn Childers and Bernice Hoglen. Harold served in the Navy for many years. Surviving by four children Sandra Dee Gragg of Lenoir, Tina Roxann Arney of Granite Falls, Harold Dean Polk, Jr. of Granite Falls, and Charles Lee Polk of Lenoir. He has 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He had many friends and relatives, was especially close to Scott Childers and Dwayne ?DL? Polk. The family will receive family and friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, at the home of the late Harold Polk, Sr. on Saturday, July 24, 2010.
