Helen Haskins Anderson

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Helen Haskins Anderson, age 91, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Springs of Catawba in Hickory. She was born in Catawba County on May 4, 1922 to the late Albert M. Haskins and Bertha Wise Haskins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Anderson; brother, Guy Haskins and sisters, Louise Sommers and Doris Owens. She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-laws, Charles L.Anderson and Linda;     J. Albert Anderson and Camille; granddaughter, Lea Anderson Kaplan; step-grandsons, Dustin Crump and Dylan Crump;  nieces, Daphne Kahill and Martha Owens; and nephew, Mark Owens. A celebration of Mrs. Anderson’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 12:00 Noon with Dr. David Smith and Pastor Lonnie Bell officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Chris Gibbons, Gary Sanders, Dylan Crump, Jarrett Anderson, Kirby Anderson and Kevin Eller. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service.
