Ida Lee Schultz

Mrs. Ida Lee Schultz, 85, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice. She was born in Mitchell County on March 15, 1932 to the late Clifton and Mae Early Buchanan. She was a member of West Lenoir Baptist Church for over 30 years. She was married to Kenneth Schultz of the residence. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bud Buchanan, Ernest Buchanan and Chester Buchanan sisters, Lela Buchanan, Kathleen Pitman and Veda Buchanan; and great-grandson, Dennis Walter Combs. Other than her husband, she is survived by her son, Darrell Eugene Dellinger and wife, Melanie; daughters, Carolyn Lowrance and husband, Claude; Mary Williams and husband, Toy; grandkids, Douglas Combs; Drew Dellinger; Nicci Haas; Isaac Barlow and Eddie Williams; sister, Margaret Masters; and 5 great-grandkids. A celebration of Mrs. Schultz’s life will be held at West Lenoir Baptist Church on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Rick Safriet officiating. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12;00 prior to the service.
