James "Alan" Hamby

James “Alan” Hamby, 62, passed on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

He was born May 31, 1961, to the late James and Violet Hamby.

Those left to cherish Alan’s memory are his wife of 21 years, Sheila Gragg; sons, Corbin Gragg (Autumn), Cody Gragg; daughter, Nicole Brown; grandchildren, Hadley, Hunter (Chloe), John, Peyton, Steven; great-grandchildren, Connor, Layla; brothers, Kenny Hamby (Lisa), Pete Hamby; sister, Vicky Hamby, and numerous other relatives.

Alan was a true man of God.  He was an incredible outdoorsman, wonderful family man, and the greatest brother any one could ask for.  Alan had the biggest, kindest heart you would ever find.  He was a role model and a friend to everyone.  He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery at 10:00 AM with Pastor Brent Dula officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
