James Michael Broach

James Michael Broach passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Mike was born on October 2, 1941 in Caldwell County to the late Bill and Mary Broach.

In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by his beloved wife, Anita Allison Broach and infant brother and sister, Charles Allen Broach and Carolyn Kay Broach. Mike was a lifelong member of Lower Creek Baptist Church where he faithfully served as a deacon, usher, teacher and in many other areas.

He was a graduate of Lenoir High School and received an AA Degree from Gardner Webb and a BA Degree from Wake Forest University. He was a member of the NC National Guard for 6 years and was retired from The Singer Company and from Hickory Springs Manufacturing.

He enjoyed golf and watching sports, but most of all he enjoyed time with his wife, kids, grandkids and family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son Jamie Broach and wife Laura and daughter Allison Brown and husband, Wesley; granddaughters, Anna-Kathryn Broach; Kennady Broach; and twins, Kirby Brown and Leryn Brown; grandson, Jacob McCurry and wife Lanna; great-granddaughters, Mylee and Maddy; sister, Lynn Laws and husband Jerrell; and numerous nieces, nephews and family members.

A graveside service celebrating Mike’s life will be held at Lower Creek Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Tom McDonald officiating.
