James Dula

Mr. James Carson Dula, age 81, of Lenoir passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Lenoir Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Born October 26, 1935 in Caldwell county, James was a son of the late Jefferson and Rosetta Taylor Dula.He spent many years working as a dairy farmer and the furniture industry.He enjoyed working and continuously did so until he turned 75.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Iris Key and Doris Price; and a brother, Johnny Ray Dula. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Correna Messer Dula of the Home; a daughter, Robin Bryant (fiancé Harold) of Lenoir; three sons, Jeff Dula of Lenoir, Rickey Dula (Fiancé Kim) of Hudson and Mike Dula of Lenoir; he is also survived by nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. A celebration of James’ life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor James Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
