Jane Phillips

On Monday October 13, 2025, Jane Phillips went to her heavenly home. Jane was born May 6, 1948, to the late Hallie Harris Childress and M.B Childress. In addition to her parents, Jane is preceded in death by her son Gary Dale Phillips , brothers Roger Dale, Donnie and Scottie Childress, and sisters Brenda and Gay Childress. Jane is survived by a daughter Tonya Bumgarner and husband Chuck, a grandson Wyatt Bumgarner, a brother Ronnie Childress and wife Trish, a sister Sandra Childress and David Robbins, and many nieces and nephews.

Jane loved her family more than anything in the world. She especially loved Wyatt who she simply and lovingly referred to as “grandson”. Jane was fiercely loyal and her door was always open to her family where there were numerous dinners every week. She was an ear that would listen and the voice of reason for all who needed her. Jane was “mama”, “nana”, “sis”, and “aunt Jane”. We are all better people for having known her. There is a happy ending to her story though and that is if you want to see her again, you can ask Jesus to come into your heart so you can go to heaven too, because that’s where she’ll be…. At the feet of her savior.
