Janis Eller

Lenoir- Janis Huntley Eller, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Caldwell Hospice. She was born in Caldwell County on August 29, 1932 to the late Woodrow Huntley and Polly Turnmyre Huntley. Janis was a graduate of Lenoir High School where she was a member of the Marching Band, cheerleader and Homecoming Queen. She and six of her close high school friends remained life-long friends. Janis loved all animals and was awonderful friend and a great mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband of more than 50 years, Ben Eller, Jr. and her sister, Pam Huntley. Janis is survived by her daughters, Terrie Eller and Lydia “Kitty” Eller; and her two granddogs, Josie and Roxy. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Marietta Smith officiating.
