Jason Robert Belcher

Lenoir, NC – Jason Robert “J.R.” Belcher, age 30, passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 8, 2011. He was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on January 20, 1981 to Nina Farmer of Lenoir and the late Robert Belcher. Jason enjoyed listening to music and was an avid reader, particularly books dealing with politics. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Ola Belcher and Harry and Mildred Farmer; uncle, Glenn Farmer; aunt, Sandy Shepard; and cousin, Raymond Stewart. Other than his mother, he is survived by his sister, Traci Farmer; aunt, Brenda Stewart; cousins, Leah Stewart, Jaleah Ross, Michael Stewart, and Serenity Tugman. A memorial service for Jason will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Scott Philyaw and Reverend Ronnie Pritchard officiating.
