Jerry Colbert

Mr. Jerry Lee Colbert, age 60, of Lenoir passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Caldwell Hospice in Lenoir. Jerry was born December 5, 1957 in Caldwell County to the late William Gus and Alberta Tilley Colbert.Jerry enjoyed detailing his car and listening to music.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Everette M. Tilley; three sisters, Christine Tilley, Mary Linda Sloan and Rev. Josephine Harper. Survivors include his wife of three and a half years, Della Mcelyea of Lenoir; a brother, Freddy Colbert (wife Beatrice) of Lenoir; his sisters, Carolyn Ferguson of Lenoir and Kathleen Harper (husband Johnny) of Morganton; He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of Jerry’s life will take place on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service.Interment will take place following the service at the Dulatown Cemetery.
