In loving Memory of Jerry David Griffin, Jr.

Jerry David Griffin, Jr. Born in Caldwell County on May 14th, 1959, passed away peacefully on August 29th at Caldwell UNC Healthcare was the son of the late Jerry David Griffin, Sr. and Carolyn Beshears Griffin.

David will be remembered as a hardworking man who found joy in being outdoors and working with his hands. He spent many years working in the furniture industry, during a time when the industry was still a vital part of his home, Caldwell County.

Later in life, David continued doing what he loved. He worked for his longtime friend Angie Moore at Precision Pools for many years, where his love of working outdoors and especially his passion for the pool industry allowed him to continue doing the work he truly enjoyed.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Amanda Griffin; son, JD Griffin; honorary daughter Alex Westmoreland; grandsons, Aiden Griffin and Coy Sragg. Mother of his children and friend Darlene Bishop.

He is also survived by his brothers, Terry Griffin and wife Donna, Darren Griffin and wife Gina. Step-siblings Dirk Maust, Sandy Zoubek, and Mark Maust.

David was proceeded in death by his parents; David Jerry Griffin Sr. and Carolyn Beshears Griffin; brother William Ted Griffin and step-mother Sylvia Bolick Griffin.

Davids’s life touched many people, and he will be remembered for the memories he created, and the special place he held in the hearts of his family and friends. He had many childhood friends that have so many fun stories of their childhood and teenage journey.

His greatest legacy will live on through those he loved and the memories they will carry with them.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday September 1st, at 11:00 am at Whitnel First Baptist Church with Reverend Stuart White officiating.
