Jerry Wilson Walsh

March 10, 1941 — October 18, 2025

Jerry Wilson Walsh, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Born on March 10, 1941, in Wilkes County, Jerry was the beloved son of the late Odell and Ella Mae Walsh. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, remembered for his deep love for the Lord and everyone he met.

Jerry was a dedicated supervisor in the furniture industry for many years, but his true passions were found outdoors. He loved gardening, beekeeping, making birdhouses, and most dearly, fishing with his grandchildren. He was a faithful member of Hartland Baptist Church and touched many lives with his generosity and warmth.

Preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Blackburn, and his great-great-grandson, Dawson Miller. Jerry leaves behind a legacy of love through the family he cherished. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Linda Walsh; his daughters, Melissa Foster (Terry) and Dawn Whisnant; grandchildren, Kristin Staley (Jonas), Stephanie Auton (Joseph), Keegan Clark, and Easton Ross; great-grandchildren, Beka Miller (Brandon), Levi Auton, Tytus Staley, Kaitlyn Auton, and Jaxon Staley. A great-great-grandson on the way, Miles Miller. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Walsh (Shirley), sisters, Kay Townsell (Ray) and Kathy Taylor (Rex), and numerous cherished nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Hartland Baptist Church, 3730 Hartland Road, Morganton, NC, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 with a service to celebrate Jerry’s life to follow with Reverend Todd Smith officiating.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Surgeon Adam Goode and the dedicated staff at Amorem Hospice in Hudson for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Amorem Hospice in memory of Jerry.
