Joey Brian Mullinax

Hudson– Joey Brian Mullinax, age 43, of Hudson, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at his home.Born on April 25, 1972 in Georgia. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Junior and Louise Mullinax of Lenoir and Kenneth and Mildred Greene also of Lenoir. He is survived by his wife Melissa Austin Mullinax of Hudson.Father and Step-Mother Lynn and Linda Mullinax of Lenoir and his Mother and Step-Father Linda and Joe “Daddy Joe” Eldreth of Lenoir. The special joys of his life were his children Joey Brian Mullinax Jr. and wife Christina of Hudson and Jordan Lynn Mullinax of Hudson. He had one grandson Hunter Jay Mullinax whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by one sister Kim Hicks and husband Chris and niece Danielle Norris of Lenoir. Joey was loved by many aunts and uncles and cousins too numerous to name. Joey was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Pallbearers will be Spud Miller, Chris Sipes, Jamie Goble, Charlie Mullinax, James McJunkin and Michael Clark. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Cline, Todd Hartley, Johnny White and Robert Mullinax. A celebration of Joey’s life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Evans Funeral Service Chapel with Reverend Eric Lane officiating. For those attending the service the family requests that everyone dress casual and wears a hat to honor Joey’s life. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Interment will be held at Mt Carmel Cemetery in Hudson, NC. In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted for final expenses.
