Brandon Norris

Brandon Norris, 42, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

Brandon was born February 18, 1983, to Joseph and Vicki Norris.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish Brandon’s memory are his wife, Misty Norris; sons, Trenedy Simmerman, Mason Sheets; grandchildren, Mia, Matty, and Sophia; brothers, Jonathan and wife Gina-Marie Norris, Matthew Norris; niece, Kaitlin and nephew, Jonathan and numerous other families, friends, and supporting community.

Brandon was his wife’s best friend, and the best father anyone could ask for. He loved his grandchildren. His laugh was contagious, and he was known for his strong hugs. He was the kind of man to give you a hug and make things ok. Brandon was known to frequently visit Clarence’s Friendly Lunch in Whitnel with his brother, Jonathan. He loved being outdoors, camping, fishing, and hiking. Mostly he loved being around his family and friends. He was definitely a family man. Brandon was a selfless man who took pride in taking care of those around him.

He was a coach and teacher at William Lenoir Middle School. He touched many lives in the community. All the children he taught and coached loved Brandon and his hugs.

Words cannot describe a man like Brandon. He showed tremendous love, and he was loved tremendously. He will be missed so much by the ones who knew and loved him.

A service to honor Brandon’s life will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church, 2822 Pooveys Chapel Church Road, Hudson, NC 28638.
