Juanita Goforth

Juanita Goforth Lenoir – Mrs. Juanita Ramona Icard Goforth, 89, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative. She was born in Caldwell County on September 15, 1928 to the late Sidney and Loure Icard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Goforth, daughter, Sheila Arney, two grandsons, Bradley Goforth and Michael Taylor, also two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Michael Goforth and wife, Regina, daughter Lorna Taylor and husband John, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, three sisters, and numerous other family members. A celebration of Mrs. Goforth’s life will be held at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Joe Parker officiating.The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie Mullinax, Marcus Taylor, Kelly Storie, Jason Taylor, Chris Turnmire, Bridgett Icard, Robert Mullinax, and David Ramseur.
