Kayron Frye

Kayron Littlejohn Frye, affectionately known as Kay, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Lenoir Healthcare. Born on February 21, 1942, in Caldwell County, North Carolina, Kay was the beloved daughter of the late Lester and Elsie Littlejohn.

Throughout her 84 years, Kay was a beacon of love and strength to her family and community. She shared a beautiful marriage with her late husband, Marvin Frye, for over 55 years, exemplifying a union built on unwavering love and devotion. Together, they nurtured a family founded on faith, compassion, and kindness.

A dedicated homemaker, Kay found immense joy in creating culinary delights, always filling the hearts and homes of her loved ones with warmth and delectable aromas. Her legacy of love continues through her three cherished children: Marvin Frye, Jr., and his wife Leah; Angela Helton and her husband, Billy; and Michael Frye. Kay's nurturing spirit also blessed her grandchildren: Tarin Patlan and her husband, Ethan; Makaela Helton; Zachary Helton; Andrew Frye, and Tanner Frye.

Kay was predeceased by her husband, Marvin, her parents, and her brother, Wilton Littlejohn. Though she is reunited with them now, her spirit and love live on through her family and the countless lives she touched.

A graveside celebration of Kay’s life will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, where Pastor Junior Hamby will officiate the service. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring Kay’s rich and loving life.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Patlan, Randy Frye, Chris Frye, Melvin Dillard, Tim Hayes and Travis Morrow.
