Keila Blankenship, age 51, of Lenoir, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care.She was born April 18, 1970 in Burke County to the late Gary Hall and Diane Hall Scott of Lenoir.In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Vines and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hall. Keila began her service to the community by managing several staffing services.She went on to earn her registered nursing degree from Caldwell Community College and began her nursing career at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Department.During her seven years in the ER, she mentored many.Keila later continued her career at McCreary Cancer Center for six years and was loved by many.As a registered nurse, Keila touched many lives with her nursing skills as well as her kindness, compassion, and love for her patients and co-workers. Survivors in addition to her mother, Diane Scott include her husband, Chris Blankenship; son, Garrett Warren and wife Danielle; daughter, Keegan Blankenship; grandson, Levi Warren; brother, Keith Hall and wife Hope. A Celebration of life service will be held Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Crestview Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Chris Helderman and Pastor Michael Issacs.
