Keith Barry Buckner

Hudson, NC- Mr. Keith Barry Buckner, age 59, of Hudson passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice in Hudson. Born November 30, 1957 in Caldwell County, Keith was a son of the late James Arthur and Irene Willis Buckner. He was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church and loved to serve the Lord. He was an avid fisherman and will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a special grandmother, Virginia Huffman. Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Lisa Buckner of the Home; a daughter, Kayla Avery (husband Joshua Byrd) of Wilkes County; a brother, Rick Buckner (wife Mary) of Hickory; a sister, Donna Christie (husband David) of Hudson; a grandson, Daniel Byrd; Keith is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Keith’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Harris Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Burgett and Pastor Allen Norrod. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
