Keith Adrian Williams

November 15, 1941 — July 22, 2025

Keith Adrian Williams, age 83 of Lenoir, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Amorem Hospice in Hudson. He was born in Caldwell County on November 15, 1941, to the late Milton Franklin Williams and Mantha Irene Mask Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Williams, brothers Alfred, Jimmy and Jeff Williams, sisters Rebecca Williams and Carolyn Williams McGhinnis.

Keith is survived by his three sons, Kevin Williams, Kris Williams (Amy), and Ted Williams (Leslie). He is also survived by four grandchildren, Brooklynn Byrd (Zach), Garrett Williams (Lauren), Tucker and Tess Williams, two great-grandchildren, Kash Williams and Klayton Byrd, brothers, Marshall Williams (the late Darlene Williams), Tommy Williams (Kathy), Steve Williams (Debbie), sisters, Betty Williams Beshears (the late Robert Beshears) and Linda Wright (Jeff) and many special nephews and nieces.

Keith will forever be remembered as being a hard worker. He worked for many years pouring concrete, sowing yards, grading and installing septic systems. As a testament to his legacy of hard work, at the age of 79, he installed his last septic system. When Keith was not working, he loved farming and gardening. He raised cattle on his farm and always had a bountiful garden he fed his family and generously shared with his neighbors. Keith loved his friends and neighbors and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Keith will also be fondly remembered for making people laugh. He loved telling jokes and laughing at himself because he could seldom get the punch line right. He liked to tell his jokes at his favorite place, the dinner table, where he enjoyed a home cooked meal and quality time with his family. Keith was the family prankster and was known to give bugs or small animals as gifts. He also delighted in the shocking looks on people’s faces when they fell victim to his “spider box” prank.

Keith was an active member of Union Grove Baptist Church where he served as an usher. He also participated in the Brotherhood where he enjoyed firewood cutting days and continued to volunteer his truck for deliveries after he was unable.

A celebration of Keith’s life will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Union Grove Baptist Church at 3:00pm with Pastors Sam Craven, Jeff Lambert and Zack Bryant officiating. Interment will follow the service at North Catawba Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm prior to the service. Members of the Deacon Committee of Union Grove Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials in honor of Keith may be made to AMOREM Hospice at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645. The family would like to thank the outstanding staff of Shaire Center and AMOREM for their compassion and kindness for Keith and his family.
