Larry Thomas Bryant, a cherished resident of Morganton, passed away peacefully at Amorem in Valdese on March 28, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on January 18, 1948, in Caldwell County, NC, Larry lived a life full of dedication, love, and adventure.
Larry was the beloved son of the late Jack Thomas Bryant and Mary Price Carswell. He reunites in heaven with his wife, Wilma Miller Bryant, and his brothers, CV Bryant, Charlie Bryant, and Dwayne Bryant.
Larry's zest for life often found its expression in the great outdoors. An avid fisherman and an enthusiastic trail rider, he relished any opportunity to immerse himself in nature's embrace, whether through fishing or traversing trails on a variety of vehicles. His knack for fixing anything was matched only by his devoted work ethic, which he demonstrated throughout his years as a talented mechanic. Larry had a passion for farming and working his land.
Above all, Larry held a deep and abiding love for his family and Christ. He is survived by his devoted children, Larry Thomas Bowers, Daniel Bryant, and Mary Bryant; his sister, Lynn Honeycutt; and his cherished grandchildren, Janarro, Hunter, Madison, and Daphne. Larry also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and other close family members who will forever hold his memory near to their hearts.
A memorial celebration of Larry's remarkable life will take place at Lenoir Church of Christ on Friday, April [exact date to be confirmed]. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor this wonderful man who touched so many with his kindness and generosity.
Rest in peace, Larry. Your spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you.
