Larry Emanuel Mcrary

Conover, NC – Mr. Larry Emanuel McRary, age 69, of Conover, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Hospice and Palliative Care in Newton. Born February 2, 1943 in Caldwell County, Mr. McRary was the son of the late Arnold Emanuel and Catherine Williams McRary. Larry was a born again believer and was a faithful member of Tri-City Baptist Church where he served as an usher for more than 15 years. He was a pillar in the Charis Sunday School class and also served on the Leadership Team for the Hall of Honor, a memorial for veterans. Larry graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1961. He was a U.S. Army veteran having earned a Purple Heart in Vietnam. Larry retired from H.T. Hackney, where he worked in sales. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Neal McRary of the home; son, Robert McRary and wife Naomi of Charlotte; son, Jacob Reep of Lincolnton; daughter, Nicole Dimzon and husband, Ed of Lincolnton; one brother, Richard McRary and wife Deborah of Greensboro; grandchildren, Samuel McRary, Sarah McRary, Kaitlyn Morrison, Kasi Morrison, and Ashley Reep. A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at Tri-City Baptist Church, 1409 NC Hwy 16 N, Conover, NC 28613 on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ruffin Snow and Pastor Byron Repass officiating. Burial will follow in the Leonard’s Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Lincolnton. The Ushers of Tri-City Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 1:00 prior to the service at Tri-City Baptist Church.
