Leroy Huffman

Leroy Huffman, 89 of Lenoir, NC went home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2026, at home surrounded by his family and loved ones.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” – 2 Timothy 4:7

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Nancy, sons Nathan and Shawn, eight grandkids, twelve great-grandkids, four great-great-grandkids, sister Rebecca Reece, and several other extended family members and special friends.

He is preceded in death by parents David and Mildred, and son Ronald.

Leroy started his career in furniture at a ripe young age. He then decided that he wanted to drive long haul tractor trailers for 30 years, with the last seven being with the NCDOT. After retiring, he settled down and stayed home with his family. Together, they enjoyed camping with their motor home until his health declined. Leroy also enjoyed gardening with his wife and working on his many vehicles over the years.

Leroy will be deeply missed by all the lives he touched with his unwavering love and dedication to his family and friends.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Leroy’s life on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 4:00pm at South Lenoir Church of God in Lenoir, NC. Officiating will be Pastor Nathan Gobble, along with Pastor Ernest Bowes and Howard Smith. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00pm-4:00pm.
