Lillian Whisnant Crisp

Lenoir– Mrs. Lillian Whisnant Crisp, age 92, of Lenoir, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Hudson.Born March 6, 1923 in Caldwell County, she was a daughter of the late Luther W. and Maude Pendergrass Whisnant and the wife of the late Oscar Ree Crisp. Mrs. Crisp was a homemaker and a member of Setzer’s Gap Presbyterian Church. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Justice and three brothers, Claude, Luther and Gene Whisnant. She is survived by her sons, Bennett Crisp and wife Vera of Hudson; Neil Crisp and wife Karen of Lenoir; two sisters, Margaret Church of Hickory; Helen Reece of Lenoir and one brother, Ray Whisnant of Lenoir.She is also survived by three grandchildren, Kelly Paynter and husband Fred of Marietta, GA; Daniel Crisp and wife Trish of Hudson; Jon Crisp and wife Julie of Hudson and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Reverend Ken Byerly officiating.
