Linda Jean Abee Griffin

Linda Jean Abee Griffin, age 77, of Lenoir, North Carolina, passed away on August 31, 2026, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.

Linda had a quiet and gentle nature and a special love for animals. Though she was often reserved, those who knew her understood the kindness and caring spirit behind her quiet demeanor. She spent several years working at Valdese Weavers, where she remained until her retirement.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Colene Boston Hoke.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Carolyn J. Griffin; her niece, Laura L. Laws; and other family members and friends who knew and loved her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Linda’s friends at Koinonia for the kindness, friendship, and compassionate support they provided throughout her time there. Their assistance with Linda’s care and the love and concern they showed her brought great comfort, and their kindness will always be deeply appreciated by her family.

In accordance with Linda’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Her family and friends are encouraged to remember her in their own special way and cherish the memories they shared with her.
