Lisa Duckworth Johnson

Lisa Johnson Morganton – Mrs. Lisa Duckworth Johnson, age 51, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. She was born in Burke County on July 4, 1964 to Geralene Hughes and the late Ivey Duckworth. Lisa was married to Boyd Johnson of the home for 21 years. Lisa was a member of Catawba Valley Baptist Church. She worked for several years as an Assistant Manager for Hardee’s and later became an Assistant Manager at Aldi in Lenoir. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by step-father, Clines “Ray” Hughes; daughter, Iva Smart and husband, Ryan; sons, Daniel Johnson and Keith Johnson; sister, Vickie Loveless; grandchildren, Damian and Ethan Freeman; Kyle and Ryker Johnson; and nephew, Craig Loveless. A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at Catawba Valley Baptist Church on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 2:30 PM with Pastor Marty Bess officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until2:30 prior to the service at the church.
