Louise Gragg

Lenoir – Louise Carlton Gragg, 94, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice in Lenoir. She was born in Kings Creek on May 16, 1923 to the late Bertha Kirby Carlton and Grady C. Carlton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold M. Gragg and their beloved daughter, Martha Gragg Sims; four sisters, Kathleen C. Chelgren, Melba C. Phillips, Azalee C. Marshall, Peggy C. Hansen; two brothers, Dan H. Carlton and William E. Carlton. Louise is survived by her son-in-law, James “Buzz” Sims of Lenoir; two grandchildren, Emily Elizabeth Sims Renegar and husband, Zac Van Renegar of Charlotte and Cy Everette Sims and wife, Wendy Sherwood Sims of Lenoir; two great-grandchildren, Emerson Martha Renegar and Sims Van Renegar of Charlotte. Louise retired from Caldwell Community College and was a member of Lower Creek Baptist Church for over 60 years. A graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Park on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM.
