Lula Bell McGee

Lula Bell McGee, 85, a beloved mother, mawmaw, nana and sister, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Born on February 13, 1940, in West Virginia, Lula was the cherished daughter of the late Jay and Edna Bean.

Lula dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home. She was a devoted homemaker who found joy in her garden and flower beds, cooking for her family, and spending cherished moments with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her nurturing spirit and infectious smile brought happiness to countless loved ones throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, Lula was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Ralph Wilson McGee, and her dear brother, Johnny Bean. She leaves behind a legacy of love with her children, Rick McGee (Cindy) and Lorie Ingle (Jeff); her treasured grandchildren, Heather Ormand (Adam), Ashley, Ethan, and Kayla; and her adored great-grandchildren, Leona, Eirin, and Astrid. Lula's loving presence will be remembered by her siblings, Dollie, Millie, Rosemary, Jack, Jay Jr., and Marie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Lula's memory will be honored at a memorial service on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Harrisburg Baptist Church, with Pastor Tony Harris officiating. Friends and family are welcome to gather to celebrate Lula's life, with a visitation held an hour prior from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Evans Funeral Service & Crematory, who is honored to serve the family during this time.

Lula Bell McGee's warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. Her legacy of love and joy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
