Lyshia Lynn Hodges

Lyshia Lynn Hodges was born on September 3rd, 1961 in Swain County, North Carolina to mother, Roma Nell Cable, and the late Wayne Cable, her father.

Lyshia was a woman whose life was a testament to kindness, hard work, and an unbreakable love for her family. Lyshia is preceded in death by her brother Carol Cable. Lyshia leaves behind her husband Terry Len Hodges, one son Scott Tyler Hodges, her mother Roma Nell Cable, three brothers Dennis, Terry, and Kevin, one sister, Wanda Cable Crisp, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Lyshia was beloved by everyone, she had a rare gift for making anyone feel loved and seen it wasn't unusual for her to call you "honey" or "darling" when she spoke with you. Her greatest treasure on this earth was being a mother. At the age of 64 Lyshia's journey on this earth came to an unexpected end. On March 19th 2026 she passed away unexpectedly at work. While her passing was sudden and feels far too soon, we take comfort in knowing in our hearts she has gone home to be with the Lord, as well as her daddy that she missed so badly. She leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured in years but by the love she gave so freely.

A service for Lyshia Hodges will be held at Evans Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 2:00PM with a visitation being held an hour prior.
