Mae Trivette

Lenoir– Mrs. Dorothy Mae Holden Trivette, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. She was born in Caldwell County on October 1, 1927 to the late William H. Holden and Bertha Poarch Holden. Mrs. Trivette retired from Bernhardt Furniture Industries after more than 30 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Edwin Trivette; daughter, Frances Sumpter; grandson, Tony Collins; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her children, Geraldine Wood and husband, Richard; Carolyn Miller; Peggy Whisnant and husband, Barry; Ed Trivette and wife, Lillie; brother, Haywood Holden; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her loving friends and neighbors. A celebration of Mrs. Trivette’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Raymond Spann officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Belleview cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
