Lenoir, NC- Mr. Mal Lovelace Wall, Sr., age 88, of Lenoir, died Friday, December 11, 2009 at Carolina Rehab Center of Burke. Born September 22, 1921 in Rutherford County, North Carolina, Mr. Bivens was a son of the late Goyen O. and Etta Louise Proctor Wall, and the husband of the late, Faye Willine Barger Wall. Other than his wife and parents, Mr. Wall was preceded in death by one brother, Hassell Goyen Wall and one sister, Hilda Mae Wall. Mr. Wall was in the U.S. Army Air Corps, 8th Infantry during World War II and retired as a sales representative with Masonite. He was a graduate of Western Carolina University, a life-long Baptist, member of the Lions Club, and a Mason. Â Surviving are his sons Mal Wall, Jr. and wife Barbara of Nashville, TN; Bryan Wall and wife Rosemary of Charlotte; David Wall and wife Elisabeth of Lenoir; William Kevin Wall of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and one daughter, Ellen Rogers Wall of Raleigh; one sister Muriel Cooper of Burnsville, NC; one brother Frank Miller Wall of Boiling Springs, NC; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Cleveland Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, NC with Dr. Carroll H. Page officiating. Memorials may be made to Caldwell Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645 and the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565.
