Margaret Bryant

Margaret Bryant Hudson, NC- Mrs. Margaret Harklerode Bryant, 85, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Hickory Falls Rehab. She was born in McDowell County on May 17, 1932 to the late Ernest P. Harklerode and Clara Bradley Harklerode. She was married to Arnold Bryant of the home for 48 years. Mrs. Bryant was a member of First Baptist Church of Hudson. She was a loving and respected wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Harklerode; sister, Arzella McKinney; and grandson, Jason Daniel Story. She is also survived by her children, Peggy Long and husband, Lonnie; Martha Turner; Rebecca Linn; Kay Smith and husband, Butch; Fred Lynn Moody and wife, Doloris; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mrs. Bryant’s life will be held at First Baptist Church of Hudson on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 5:00 PM with Pastor Mack Jarvis and Pastor Paul Puett officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30 until 5:00 PM prior to the service. Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church of Hudson, 345 Main Street, Hudson, NC28638.
