Margaret Clark Hoyle

Margaret Clark Hoyle, of Lenoir, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Shaire Center in Lenoir. Born April 2, 1926 in Caldwell County, Margaret was the daughter of the late Finley Lihue and Margaret Leola Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Evie Watson, Ollie Walker, Hazel Clark and Hilda Miller; and brothers, Zack, Theodore, Bruce, Harding and Wallace Clark. She is survived by her children, Byron Hoyle (wife Judy) of Granite Falls, Cindy Griffin (husband Joe) of Kentucky, Mark Hoyle (wife Allison) of Lenoir and Lynn Flaherty of Blowing Rock; grandchildren, Jason Hoyle (wife Cheryl) of Fincastle, VA, Juli Starnes of Denver, NC, Jamie White (husband Phillip) of Lenoir, Matthew Hoyle (wife Mary) of Willow Springs, NC, Alexandra Flaherty of Raleigh and David Flaherty III of Raleigh; great grandchildren, Seth Haigler and Emily Hoyle; two great granddaughters, soon to be born in October and December, respectively; a brother, Mack Clark of Lenoir. To her children, Margaret was Mom, Mama or Mommy to her grandchildren, she was Maw Maw, Mam Maw or just Maw, and to her great-grandchildren, she was simply Gee Gee. We are sad for the void in our lives, but are thankful for the blessing Margaret has been to all of us. Funeral Services for Margaret will be private.
