Marvin "Wayne" Anderson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Marvin Wayne Anderson, age 65, on Sunday, June 28, 2026. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Wayne was born in Caldwell County, North Carolina, on February 26, 1961, to Virginia Dair Melton and the late Marvin Miles Anderson.

A resident of Granite Falls, NC, Wayne was a dedicated and hard-working individual who touched the lives of many with his kindness and unwavering support. Known for his craftsmanship and talent as a lineman, he was truly a jack of all trades. His passion for construction and woodwork was only rivaled by his love for his family and his cherished granddog, Xena.

Wayne's legacy continues through his loving son, Matthew, who he cherished dearly; and daughter, Amanda Anderson, as well as his granddaughter, Trinity Anderson. He leaves behind his devoted sisters, Carolyn Arnette and her husband Jerry, and Linda Church and her husband Johnny. He will also be remembered fondly by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.

A memorial service to honor Wayne’s life and accomplishments will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Full Gospel Tabernacle, 125 Tabernacle Way, Ferguson, NC 28624. During this difficult time, the family appreciates your thoughts, prayers, and fond remembrances of a man who cared deeply for those he loved.
