Mary Nell Hollar Williams

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Mary Nell Hollar Williams, age 71, of Lenoir, died Friday, January 7, 2011 at her home. Born December 19, 1939 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Williams was a daughter of the late David and Mattie Gragg Hollar and the wife of Word Wise Williams. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and a member of Crest View Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Coy, Henry, Ray, Tom and Doyle Hollar, one sister, Opal Bowlin and a grandson, Logan Gibbs. Surviving other than her husband are two children, Stuart Williams and Cara Gibbs; one sister, Shirley Bumgarner; two brothers, Marvin Hollar and O.D. Hollar and 6 grandchildren. A celebration of Mrs. Williams’ life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, January 9, 2011 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Michael Isaacs officiating. A private burial will be held in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Charlotte. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30 until 3:00 at Evans Funeral Service prior to the service.
