Mary Frances Kincaid

Mary Frances Kincaid Lenoir – Mrs. Mary Frances Smith Kincaid, age 90, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Lenoir Healthcare. She was born in Caldwell County on October 18, 1926 to the late Marcus P. Smith and Rosalee Dockery Smith. Mrs. Kincaid graduated from Lenoir High School in 1944 and became a teacher in several Caldwell County pre-schools. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Mrs. Kincaid enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and baking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Kincaid; brothers, Charles Marcus Smith and Stewart Douglas Smith; and great-granddaughter, Racheal Adams. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Crump and husband, Wally of Lenoir; daughter, Maria Klein and husband, Wayne of Lenoir; son Philip Kincaid and wife, Debbie of Athens, GA; sisters, Betty Neil Vollmer and husband Kent of Dunn, NC; Rebecca Lynn Medford of Durham; Debby Lee Goudelock and husband, Mike of Granite Falls; granddaughters, Heather Martin and husband, Stephen of Boone; Jennifer Adams and husband, Michael of Falls Church, VA; Sarah Moore and husband, Isaac of Athens, GA; Jessica Griffee and husband, Daniel of Wilmington; Bethany Klein of Kernersville; Katherine Shouse and husband, Kevin of Leavenworth, KS; grandsons, J.W. Crump of New York, NY; Jason Klein of Asheville; great-grandchildren, Jackson Martin; Caitlin and Emily Adams; Sebastian, Sterling and Kincaid Moore; Sophie Shouse; and Maura and Warren Griffee. A celebration of Mrs. Kincaid’s life will be on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Trinity United Methodist Church at 3:30 PM with Pastor Uiyeon Kim and Pastor Joe Parker officiating. Interment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:30 prior to the service.
