Michael Steven Winkler

Lenoir, NC- Michael Steven Winkler, age 60, of Lenoir, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Asheville. Born June 6, 1950 in Caldwell County, Michael was the son of John “Jack” Bunyan Winkler, Jr. of Lenoir and the late Sue Triplett Justice Winkler. Michael had worked in shipping in the furniture industry and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Other than his father, he is survived by two children, Michael Casey Winkler and wife Rebecca of the Grace Chapel community; Megan Nicole Winkler of Lenoir and one brother, Gregg Justice and his wife Katie of Lenoir. The family will receive friends from 11 until 12 noon on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. A private graveside will take place later.
