Nancy Motley

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Nancy Jones Motley, age 58, of Lenoir passed away at her home on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Born February 13, 1958 in Caldwell County, Nancy was a daughter of the late James and Doris Michaux Jones. Nancy was a member of the New Covenant United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. She enjoyed cooking and life itself. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Jones; and her Maternal and Paternal Grandparents. Survivors include her husband, Freddie Motley of the home; a daughter, Amber Motley of Hudson; a son, Fredrick A. Motley of Lenoir; two sisters, Veronica Davenport of Lenoir and Tanita Mallard of Taylorsville; a brother, Tony Jones of Lenoir; three grandchildren, Axsher Motley, Amiya Motley and Jaiden Motley; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A memorial service celebrating Nancy’s life will be held at the New Covenant United Methodist Church on Saturday at 2:00 PM with Reverend Charlie Rivens officiating.
