Nathan Otis Gibbs

Nathan “Nate” Otis Gibbs, age 64, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Caldwell County on April 16, 1953 to the late Richard Gibbs and Katherine Suddreth Gibbs. He was preceded in death by both parents, his sister Flossie Gibbs Surrett, and brothers Richard “Kenny” Gibbs and Douglas “Dougie” Gibbs.Mr. Gibbs was Honorably Discharged from the Army in 1975. He is survived by daughter Taneisia Fisher (Leron) of Houston, TX, sisters, Angela Wright and husband, Johnny of Lenoir; Eleanor Gibbs of Charlotte, three grandchildren Xavier, Kailer and Kaiden and a host of nieces and nephews.A celebration of Nathan’s life will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 @ 1:00 PM at St. Paul AME Church. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 prior to the service.
