Nellie Irene Minton

Nellie Irene Minton, 80, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026.

Nellie was born on April 22, 1945, to the late Linnie and Delia Hamby.

In addition to her parents, Nellie is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Minton; sons, Phillip Minton, Randy Minton, Glenn G. Minton; brothers, Tommy, Bill, Fred, Charlie, Vaughn, Lawrence, Clyde, Ralph, Jerry; sisters, Kathleen Minton, and Kate Walsh.

Those left to cherish Nellie’s memory are her son, Gary Minton (Michelle), grandchildren, Crystal (Timmy), Gary Lee, Jr. (Madison), Jessica, Ross (Taryn), 14 great grandchildren, sister, Juanita Sawyers; and numerous loved nieces, nephews and friends.

Nellie was a wonderful woman. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

Nellie loved to play bingo, enjoyed sitting in the sun, and her favorite was time spent with family and friends.
