Obituary of Nicolasa Maldonado Velásquez
With deep sorrow, the Maldonado Velásquez family announces the passing of Nicolasa Maldonado Velásquez, who went to be with our Lord on October 6, 2025, at the age of 80.
Nicolasa was born on September 10, 1945. Throughout her life, she was a beacon of love and faith for all who had the privilege of knowing her. As a Christian woman, God-fearing and devoted, she dedicated her life to serving others with a constant smile and a heart full of generosity. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and her skill as a seamstress allowed her to make many friends while offering support and affection to her community. Her legacy of faith, love, and service will live forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her children: Mario (wife Ada and grandchildren Daniel and Daniela), Lesly (husband Adolfo and grandchildren Adolfo Jr., Ever, Clarissa, Diana, and Jasmine), Idalia (husband Alfredo and grandchildren Jhoan and Sofía), Rebeca (husband Alex and grandchildren Gabriela, Naomi, and Said), and her beloved son Denis. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Anthony, Brissa, Andrés, GianLucas, Abigail, Eliseo, Samuel, Ezequiel, Nazareth, Diego, Yaretzy, and Isabella.
Her parents, Domingo Maldonado and Sabina Velásquez, as well as her daughter Telma, who passed before her, will always be lovingly remembered by the family.
The family is grateful for the support and affection of all those who shared special moments with Nicolasa during her life. Her memory will be honored by each of us as we follow her example of faith and dedication.
Her legacy of faith, love, and service will live on forever in each of us. In her life, she always stood out for her compassion and her ability to make others feel special qualities that made her a role model for her family and friends.
The wake will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Iglesia Internacional Cristo Vive.
The burial will take place on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Blue Ridge Memorial Park, following the service at 9:00 a.m.
May she rest in peace, knowing her life was a beacon of love for all of us who had the honor of knowing her.
