Norman Gregory Hargus

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Norman Gregory Hargus, age 41, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012 in Grundy, Illinois. Mr. Hargus was born on March 14, 1971 in Catawba County to Norman and Reita Hargus. He was married to Paula L. Hargus of Granite Falls. He loved his truck driving career and was employed with Ozark Motor Lines. He was known by his CB handle “Phat Daddy”. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lottie L. Minton, Thurmand F. Minton and Arthur Ray Hargus. In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by his children, Jordan Hargus, Hunter Hargus and Hailey Hargus; brothers, Aaron Hargus and fiancée, Jamie Brigman; Derrick Hargus and wife, April; grandson, Hayden Hargus; and grandmother, Lola Mae Hargus. A celebration of Mr. Hargus’ life will be held on in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 1:00 with Pastor Larry Winkler officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. Pallbearers are: Aaron Hargus, Derrick Hargus, Brandon Miller, Brian Weaver, Mike Miller, Mike Ward, Robby Suddreth, and Robert Blankenship. Honorary pallbearers are his sons, Hunter Hargus and Jordan Hargus. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from 6:00 until 7:30.
