Odette Forget

The world lost a vibrant spirit and loving soul as Odette Therese Forget passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the age of 90. Her long journey began on Tuesday, September 3, 1935, and throughout her life, she brought warmth, charm, and an unparalleled zest for life to everyone she encountered.

A resident of Lenoir, NC, Odette was known for her effervescent personality and her love of all things pink and sparkly. Her passions were many, but she truly delighted in the simple joys of life like sewing, tending to her flower gardens, and dancing. Her dogs, Sophia and Chanel, were her babies. In Odette’s spare time she would be shopping or listening to Elvis Presley.

Her grace and generosity made everyone feel at home, and her presence left a lasting impression.

She was preceded in death by her parents and many siblings, with whom she shared countless cherished moments. Odette's legacy lives on through her beloved children, Cindi Woods and husband Danny, Jason Martin and wife Shelly, who carry forward her passion for life and love for family, including grandchildren, Heidi Norwood and husband Deron, Heather Everhart and husband Robert, Kayla Martin, Jason Martin Jr., and Katelynn Martin; great grandchildren, Lexi Laws, Cadence McLeod, Kylie McBride, Robert Everhart IV, Ryder Hamby, Paris Morgan, Kyler Hamby, and great great grandbaby to-be, Spencer Keller.

Services have been thoughtfully provided by Evans Funeral Service & Crematory, where friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate the life of a woman who lived fully and loved deeply. Private arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Odette Therese Forget's impact on the hearts of those who knew her will carry on forever. Her memory will continue to sparkle in the lives of the many she touched.
