Pamela Jean Schlomer Greer

Lenoir, NC – Mrs. Pamela Jean Schlomer Greer, age 57, of Lenoir, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Born August 10, 1953 in Leesville, Louisiana, Pam was a daughter of the late Clarence and Laura McElveen Schlomer. Pam was a member of Tabernacle Advent Christian Church and a former member of the Lenoir Toastmasters Club. She was a member of the Caldwell Fife and Drum Corps and worked for many years in the Caldwell County school system. Other than her parents, Pam is preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Elizabeth Greer Williams; her granddaughter, Morgan Williams and a brother-in-law, Mike Lenz. Pam is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Elton Greer, Jr. of the home; her in-laws, Robert Elton Greer, Sr. and Shirley Greer of Lenoir; her son-in-law, Jeff Williams of Lenoir; one brother, Edward Schlomer and wife Cheryl of Opelousas, LA; one sister, Phyllis Lenz of Leesville, LA and two grandchildren, Robert Williams and Laura Ann Williams, both of Lenoir. A celebration of Pam’s life will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, January 16, 2011 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Frank Hall and Reverend Jim Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Tabernacle Advent Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 4:00 on Sunday, prior to the service at Evans Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be: Jim Miller, Harry Pharr, Randy Pharr, James Avery, Jeff Williams and Bob Greer.
