Pansy Beamon Carlton

Lenoir - Pansy Evelyn Beamon Carlton of Lenoir, born on November 10, 1920, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Caldwell Hospice. She was married for 65 years to Dallas Dale Carlton, who preceded her in death. They spent their lives in Lower Creek. She was a wonderful and loving wife and mother. She was a long-time hospital volunteer, where she enjoyed making flower arrangements for sale in the gift shop and doing whatever jobs needed to be done. She especially enjoyed working on the Flower Committee at Lower Creek Baptist Church where she often supplied flowers from her own flower garden for services.Pansy was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Beamon and Alma McCall Beamon, by her brothers Jack and Bill, and her sister Faye Beamon Crump. She leaves four bereaved children: Dr. Janice C. Swab, Thomas D. Carlton, Sr. (Patricia M. Carlton), Gary W. Carlton (April Campbell) and Joyce E. Carlton (Richard Parsons); four grandchildren: Dale, David, and Zack Carlton, and Ashlee Jensen; and four great grandchildren.The Carlton family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall at Lower Creek Baptist Church at 11:00am on Friday, November 20 immediately before the Funeral Service at 12 noon. A private burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family is grateful to the women who gave her excellent care during the last several months of her life: Diane Roberts, Jeanetta Shoun, Tammy Henderson, and Joyce Martin.
