Paul Gene Baker

Paul Gene Baker, age 80, went home to the promise land to be with his Lord and Savior on June 2, 2018. He was born at home in Happy Valley to the late Elza Baker and Mollie Green Baker on April 20, 1938.He was Baptist by faith, an excellent artist, loved blue grass music and Nascar races.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Terry Harrison; a brother, James Hubert Baker; and a sister, Daisy Faye Baker Rowley. He is survived by two sons, Quienton Baker and Anthony Randy Simmons; a daughter, Michelle Baker Richards of St. Cloud, FL; a brother, Cavin Dale Baker of Morganton; three sisters, Kathy Baker West and her partner in life, Robert Dellinger, of Collettsville, Debra Baker Hollar and husband, Randy, of Collettsville, and Lorretta Baker Wilson of Sawmills; Paul is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service celebrating Paul’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service at 3:00 PM.
