Paul Thornton Pickler

Mr. Paul Thornton Pickler, age 71, of Granite Falls passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Hickory Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center in Granite Falls. Born March 16, 1946 in Edenton, NC, Paul was a son of the late Reece and Julia Sutton Pickler.Paul was an artist and worked with pen and ink.He enjoyed putting model trains together.Paul loved the beach, Christmas time and history.In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Pickler. Survivors include his Sister, Carol DeFouw (husband Don) of Lenoir; four Nieces, Julie, Dawn, Karen and Grace; and two Nephews, Mark and Greg. The family will have a receiving of friends to celebrate Paul’s life on Monday, September 18, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Evans Funeral Service and Crematory in Lenoir.
