Pauline Marie Sams

Pauline Marie Sams, aged 73, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. Born on Sunday, March 23, 1952, in Asheville, NC, Pauline was a beloved member of the Morganton community.

She was born to the late Josiah and Sadie Sams, and is now reunited with them in eternal rest alongside her cherished sisters, Louise, Tommy, Irene, and JoAnne.

Pauline leaves behind a loving family, including her devoted daughters, Lisa Gass (Diana), Denise Norton, and Elizabeth Owen. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Eddie Gass (Becca), Jennifer Norton (Dustin), Roby Norton (Ali), Yazmine Light (Chase), Sherry Light (Alex), and Randall Light, as well as her five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty Muse and Sadie Moss (Bob), numerous nieces and nephews, and her faithful furry companions, Cody and Mitzy.

Known for her vibrant personality, Pauline was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who brought joy and laughter to everyone around her. She had a deep love for reading, playing games, watching TV, and doting on her fur babies. Her warmth and humor left an incredible impression on all who knew her.

Pauline worked as a dedicated laborer and was a cherished member of the community.

Pauline’s spirit, love, and laughter will forever be cherished and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
